Kim is a graduate of NC State University and East Carolina University and has completed course work toward an M. Div at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He accepted Christ as a youth and was baptized at Glen Royal Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC. He has been involved with FCA since repenting of his sins at a FCA meeting at NC State in January 1990.
He has served as an administrator, teacher, and basketball coach for over 30+ years in several school systems in North Carolina. He has been a FCA huddle coach at different high schools throughout NC where he taught and coached. In addition, he has been a major conference leader at various conference centers throughout the US for the Youth Section of the Discipleship Division of the Baptist Sunday School Board (now Lifeway) teaching and discipling youth.
A few months ago, God called him into full time ministry through the FCA. As the Western Triangle Director, he is excited to join in the mission of FCA to lead coaches and athletes at the middle, high, and collegiate levels into a growing relationship with Christ and the Church. And, to equip and empower coaches and athletes to then go and share the Gospel with others.
He is blessed to be married to Andrea and to have two young adult children, Meredith and Samuel. “Please pray for us as we embark on this new journey with the Lord, pray for us that we will follow His will and that we will be able to raise the financial support necessary to complete this ministry. We know that God is faithful and that He will provide!”
Matthew 9:37-38 “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
