I’m a Sanderson High School graduate with a brief basketball career. There has always been a deep passion for furthering my basketball career. However, another lifestyle was keeping me from seeing the fullness of Christ. That lifestyle led me to jail, where I would come to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
God's grace gave me a second chance to further my basketball career at Wake Tech. While at Wake Tech, I was introduced to FCA. I would later suffer a severe concussion that had me sitting out most of the season during my second year. During that time, I was invited to be a huddle leader at an FCA middle school retreat and to serve on a mission trip with FCA in Barbados. Since then, God has revealed a deep passion in my heart to see the Triangle transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ through sports.
As the Character Coach and Chaplain for Duke University’s football team, I am committed to Engaging relationally with our coaches, athletes, and their families to foster gospel-centered relationships and offer spiritual support. I aim to Equip them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to navigate the high demands of football and their personal lives. Finally, I strive to Empower them to be an example for others to follow as they grow in their faith, improve athletically, and build relationships with others.
Will you prayerfully consider becoming a financial partner to Engage, Equip, and Empower the lives of coaches and athletes with Duke Football? Those who give toward the Kingdom's work are not only conduits of grace but recipients of grace (Phil. 4:17). Thank you for prayerfully considering this incredible opportunity to join me in ministry!
