Elizabeth is from Abingdon, Virginia where she grew up competing in multiple sports. Volleyball reigned as her favorite sport, taking her to play at James Madison University. It was there that she came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior through a ministry we all know and love (initials are FCA)! She started her volleyball coaching career at Emory and Henry College in Virginia, coached 10 years of high school volleyball in Raleigh, and since 2018 has served as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Meredith College. She is married to Coach Don Ledford (the other Coach Ledford) who has taught and coached thousands of kids in the Raleigh area, mostly in basketball. Their gym rat children, Grace and Luke are seeking to discover God’s special gifting in their lives. Elizabeth joined the Triangle FCA staff in July of 2012 as the Director of Women’s Ministry, has served female coaches and athletes at Meredith College and NC State and is now blessed to provide leadership to the Triangle FCA staff team as they seek to lead every coach and athlete in a growing relationship with Christ and His church.
