A lover of sports and talented in many, Gabriel would find his passion and most natural talents in basketball. After moving to Raleigh, NC from Des Moines, Iowa in 2004, Gabriel would play basketball and graduate from Sanderson High School. Although there was a deep passion and driving force to further his basketball career, there was another lifestyle that was driving Gabriel to face 5 years in prison. It was in jail where Gabriel would come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Gabriel was first introduced to FCA as he began to further his basketball career at Wake Tech. He would later suffer a severe concussion that would have him sitting out most of the season during his second year. During that time Gabriel was invited to be a huddle leader at the FCA middle school retreat and invited to serve on a mission trip with FCA in Barbados. Since then, God has revealed a deep passion in Gabriel’s heart to see the Triangle transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through sports.
